Informatica 8.6 Clients Installation 2

Click on the install set up file.

Select Language and click Ok

Click Next


Click on Install and click next

Click next.

Select the location of installation and click next

Click next.

Click next

click done.

Informatica 8.6 Server Installation 1

Simple steps for installing Informatica PowerCenter 8.6

Before installing Informatica, create a user by any name (ex: info_rep)
Server Installation:

Click on the Install Set up file
Select language and click OK


Click next

Click on Install and click on Next
License Key, select the license key provided, click next
Installation prerequisites will check the configurations, click next
Installation directory, select the place where you want to install the Server, click next
HTTPS configurations, click next
Provides pre installation summary, click next
Provide in the User created details like SID, user , password, port.

Provide the admin password and click next.

Provides node configuration, click done.

Informatica 8.6 Services Set up 3

Creating Repository Services
Run the Informatica services.
Logon to Administration Console
On domain tab, click on Create

Mention Rep service name, select node, database as oracle,
Provide connect string (orcl), DB user and DB password.
Click on Create new repository content and click on create as global repository
This will create default tables in the Informatica.

After creating the tables, it will provide the status as “Action Status for Create Contents: Succeeded”

Creating integration Services
Logon to Administration Console
On domain tab, click on Create “Integration Services”
Provide the Integration service name, select node and select associated repository services.

Provide Repository user name and password, select Unicode in data movement mode.

click on OK


Repository and Integration services are running.

Creating repository Folder
Go to client and click on Repository Manager
Click on Repository – Add Repository
Provide repository and name
Right click on the repository create and click on connect.
Provide the domain name, gateway name and port number.
